What is Levitra?

 

Levitra is also called vardenafil that relaxes muscles found in the walls of blood vessels and increases blood flow to particular areas of the human body.

Generally Levitra is used to treat Erectile Dysfunction or you can say impotency.

What is Erectile Dysfunction?

 

Erectile dysfunction is a sexually related disease which reduces or eliminates semen in the man’s body and the result is he cannot be a father. It is also called impotency.

With Erectile dysfunction, the penis doesn’t fill up with enough blood to get harden and expand when a man is sexually aroused. Erectile dysfunction can also stop a man to having an erection.

Erectile dysfunction is now common in man. The main reason of Erectile dysfunction is improper routine of life, stress or depression.

How Levitra is used:-

 

To improve Erectile Dysfunction Levitra helps in increasing blood flow in to penis. This can help to get and keep an erection but for having an erection, you need to be sexually aroused. Levitra contains vardenafil, a member of a class of medicines called phosphodiesterase type 5 inhibitors. They are used for the treatment of erectile dysfunction in adult men, a condition which implies difficulties in getting or keeping an erection.

Doses:-

 

You can take Levitra only when needed, before 60 minutes of sexual activity. The medicine can help achieve an erection when you are sexually aroused. An erection will not occur just by taking a pill.

Usual Adult Dose for Erectile Dysfunction:-

 

• Initial dose: 10 mg orally once a day, before 60 minutes of sexual activity. Increase to 20 mg or decrease to 5 mg based on efficacy and tolerability.
• Maximum dose: 20 mg once a day.

Levitra Side Effects:-

 

Levitra can give you some side effects like:-

• Back Pain.
• Difficult Breathing.
• Dizziness.
• Flushing (warmth, redness, or tingly feeling).
• Headache.
• Hives.
• Swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat.
• Swelling in your hands, ankles, or feet.
• Stuffy Nose, Sinus Pain;
• Upset stomach.

If these problems are mild, they may go away within a few days or a couple of weeks if not please consult your doctor immediately.

Serious Side Effects and Their Symptoms:-

 

Levitra contains vardenafil, a member of a class of medicines called phosphodiesterase type 5 inhibitors. They are used for the treatment of erectile dysfunction in adult men. Call your doctor right away if you have serious side effects.

• Chest Pain.
• Low Blood Pressure:- feeling lightheaded or dizzy, fainting.
• Loss of Hearing:- a sudden loss or decrease in hearing ringing in the ears.
• Priapism :- A painful erection that won’t go away.
• Vision Changes:- trouble in differentiate between the colors blue and green a sudden decrease or loss of vision in one or both eyes.
• Irregular Heartbeat.

Important Warnings:-

 

• Taking Levitra with certain nitrate drug can cause a sudden and serious low blood pressure. Don’t take Levitra if you also take riociguat.

• Do not take Levitra if you are taking a nitrate drug for chest pain or heart problems, including nitroglycerin, isosorbide dinitrate, isosorbide mononitrate, and some recreational drugs such as “poppers”.

• If your erection is painful or lasts longer than 4 hours contact your doctor immediately and Stop using Levitra. A prolonged erection can damage the penis.

• Do not use Levitra if you are allergic to vardenafil.

• Levitra is not suggested for men below 18 years.
